Recommended age ranges for Direct Phonics and PAT programmes.

The age range of individuals that Direct Phonics and PAT can be used for is not limited to Primary School age children.

The PAT programme can be split into two age ranges.

For children below the age of 7 (seven) years, PAT Nursery Rhymes and PAT Beginners.

For individuals of 7 (seven) years and above, start on PAT Level One and work through to Level 3.     This includes secondary aged children and adults.

The Direct Phonics programme is suitable for all age ranges, and is most suitable for individuals who still struggle with c-v-c words after having had several years of teaching on any other programme.
